Teacher Training - UKAT Institute
The University of Ken Academies Trust welcomes enquiries from anyone looking to get into teaching. There are many different routes and providers offering teacher training courses so if you are interested in training with us at UKAT, in the first instance then please contact us and we can talk you through the different options and opportunities based on live availability and put you in touch with the right provider for your application. We are also happy to arrange experience visits for you to come in and see the school in action before progressing any applications.
Routes into teaching
Non-fee paying routes
If you are interested in applying for teacher training, you could earn a salary while you train on a non-fee paying programme. Salaries can vary depending on your chosen subject and bursaries may be available for some candidates/subjects. For more information and up to date bursary information, please click here.
Fee paying routes
We work with a number of local training providers who can offer you further details and opportunities to enrol on a teacher training fee paid course. For more information, please use the contact details below to get in touch.
Training partners
UKAT is a strategic partner with Kent and Medway Training (KMT) to provide outstanding school led teacher training. KMT manage, accredit and oversee teacher training courses, not just for us, but for a large number of schools throughout the region.
Teach in Kent
We also work with Teach in Kent, a teacher training provider accredited by the TES institute. They offer training in a variety of subjects with a PGCE top up option in addition to QTS.
